We collect only the minimum information necessary to provide the service.
Account Information
- Email address (obtained via Sign in with Apple or Google)
- Anonymous user ID (internal identifier — we do not collect your real name)
Photo Data
- Photos you submit for a trade
- Phrase tags attached to photos
- Photo metadata (date and time of capture)
Location (Optional)
- If you grant location permission when creating a pack, we obtain your device's GPS coordinates
- Coordinates are used solely to identify your country/region (e.g., Japan); only the country name is shown to the recipient
- Precise latitude/longitude is never exposed to other users. It is retained internally after country determination but displayed only at country level
Usage Data
- Trade send/receive history
- Reaction send/receive records
- Block and report records
- Crash reports and error logs (no personally identifiable information)
02How We Use Your Information
Collected information is used only for the following purposes.
- User authentication and account management
- Photo trade matching
- AI-based NSFW content filtering (automatic detection of inappropriate content)
- Block and report functionality
- Service incident response and quality improvement
- Compliance with legal obligations
We do not use your data for advertising profiling, targeted ads, or sell it to third parties.
03Sharing and Disclosure
We do not share your personal information with third parties except in the following cases.
Service Providers
- Neon, Inc. (database)
- Cloudflare, Inc. (API delivery, image storage)
- Google Cloud / OpenAI (NSFW filtering)
- Apple Inc. (in-app purchases, push notifications)
Legal Requirements
We may disclose information to courts, law enforcement, or other authorities when legally required. Where possible, we will notify you in advance (unless prohibited by law).
04Photo Retention and Deletion
Photo data is retained as follows.
- Photos awaiting a match: Temporarily stored until a match is made. Automatically deleted after 24 hours if no match occurs
- Traded photos: Saved as a collection for the recipient. Submitted photos are marked as used and cannot be reused
- Collection photos: Retained until account deletion. You can delete individual photos at any time
When you delete your account, all associated data will be permanently removed from our servers within 30 days.
05Security
We implement the following security measures.
- TLS/HTTPS encryption for all communication
- AES-256 encryption for stored data
- Signed URLs for photo access (expire after a set period)
- Automated NSFW content detection and removal
- Regular security audits
However, no transmission over the internet can be guaranteed completely secure. If you discover a security issue, please report it via our contact form.
06Children's Privacy
The App is intended for users aged 17 and older. Use by anyone under 13 is strictly prohibited. If we become aware that a user under 13 has registered, we will promptly delete the account and associated data.

07Your Rights
You have the following rights regarding your data.
- Access: Request disclosure of the data we hold about you
- Deletion: Request deletion of your account and all associated data
- Correction: Request correction of inaccurate information
- Portability: Request an export of photos in your collection
To exercise these rights, go to Settings → Account → Your Data in the App, or contact us by email.
08Cookies and Tracking
As a mobile app, Photofra does not use cookies in the traditional sense. We only store what is necessary for the app to function (e.g., session tokens) locally on your device.
This website may perform anonymous analytics (page views, referral sources, etc.) to improve the service. No personally identifiable information is collected.
09Changes to This Policy
If we update this policy, we will notify you via in-app notification and on this page. For significant changes (such as expanding the scope of data collection or new third-party sharing), we will notify you at least 30 days in advance.
Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
